Theories about Inspector Gadget

Many of you remember the cartoon inspector Gadget. Anyway here are some theories about Penny's parents.

1. They died in a car crash. I have seen this in lots of fanfics

2. could they of been agents that died on a mission ? This is my personal guess.

3. They were killed by Claw or Claw's agents for some reason.

4. they faked there deaths to protect Penny from claw.

anyway regardless of how they died or went missing ever since then she had to live with her uncle gadget.

Okay now to make some guesses about the movie. For starters John Brown was originally from Kansas. What suggest this is that his co worker Thelma says You look like a geek from Kansas who became a security guard.

I have a copy of the junior novel and the movie. The book at some point mentions that John had moved from Kansas partly cause of Brenda.

The fictional city of riverton is located in ohio. How do I know this ? If you look closely in the movie, the gadget mobile has an ohio license plate. Which no doubt means that John moved from Kansas to Ohio.

Also the book implies that he had a long time crush on Brenda, although that is quiet obvious in the movie as well.

As for Brain I think he was purchased by John sometime after Penny's parents had passed. Maybe he thought a pet would help her heal. That is what I think his history is for the movie version.

In the cartoon version maybe she owned Brain while her parents were still alive, and took him with her after she moved in with her uncle.
